Addictions and Outdoors

So, I haven't posted in a long while. Simply cos, I've been busy working and getting addicted to drama serials. Good heavens! Since watching Eagle Shooting Heroes 2008 with Hu Ge as Guo Jing and Ariel Lin Yi Chen as Huang Rong, I've been trying to watch as much as I can online. But with my shady understanding of cheem mandarin words, I need the English subs to prop me along the story line. I seriously haven't watched a lot of TV since I got hooked and missing the Australian Open (and watching Nadal play... I know he retired....) hasn't bothered me one bit. Though I would have loved to watch Justine Henin's backhand slice.... Sighs, anyways, here's to give you some idea.

Ariel's really a fantastic actress and has an even better personality to match. This is what staying in a small town with approx 15,000 people (and thousands of penguins) and hardly any exciting shops does to you I suppose. I have been listening to her songs and short clips from U tube. Perhaps I'll watch Eagle Shooting Heros for the third time?

Outdoors
New Zealand is famous for the outdoor adventure, tramping and camping and whatever else. I went abseiling just the other day and really enjoyed it! It took a lot of core strength and effort but its worth it! I went up to the Cape, this cliff overlooking the sea to water plants in a Conservation Effort. But the sun here, is really unlike the one in Singapore. The UV rays pierces your skin right through. Oh well, I have enough melanine to last me for a long while.  We went biking the other day to Kakanui, about 9km from here, with a couple. Had a cuppa at Seaview Cafe then stopped to collect mussels on the way home. I was too lazy to take out my camera to take a shot. But its all very beautiful and picturesque.
