Twilight

Have you watched the movie?

Goodness gracious me. I would never have watched it till someone lent me the DVD to watch. I feel so compelled to write a review on it. I was writing it in my head as I was watching it. Goodness gracious me. This would prob be the few occasions where I write reviews. Goodness gracious me.

Twilight- The Movie
To the adult/parental population, you might double take and ask , "Twilight Zone, you mean?" Far from, my obtuse little friend. Far From.  Its a potpurri of teenage romance, vampires, blood, wolves, drama, geeks, action etc. While watching the movie I could see snippets of several movies and tv shows. Here goes, in no particular order.

1. X-men : Some of the characters look like that and some action/stunt things are borrowed from there

2. Days of Our Lives: Somehow the slowpacedness of it all reminds me of that

3. Seventh Heaven: The family scenes remind me of that.

4. Interview with the vampire: enuf said

5. ER: Cheezy hospital scenes

6. Memoirs of a Geisha: Thats the look of the vampires' faces

7. Matrix: Some of the stunts reminds me of that. Edward reminds me a little of Neo

8. High School Musical/Grease (without the singing) : lots of school scenes and silly conversations/cars etc,  teenage romance thingies...., prom nite, new girl to school effect

9. Windtalker: The red indian /wolf tribe who comes to the rescue

10. Me, Myself and Irene  :  The cop father who looks a little like Jim Carrey

11. Murder She Wrote: Bella's sleuthing about Edward

12. Moulin Rouge : Edward's passion for Bella reminds me of Ewan's to Nicole's (except the raunchy parts)

13. Never Been Kissed: The baseball scenes

14. Harry Potter: The baseball scenes reminds me of the flying ball game in Harry Potter ( I never really appreciated Harry Potter)

15. Harry and the Hendersons: The numerous forest scenes

16. Star Wars, Episode 3, Revenge of the Sith: The bad/stiff acting bits by Edward and Anakin. The fingernail scratching on chalkboard scenes.

17. Pirates of the Carribean: The african american in the strange suit reminds me of a pirate

18. Lady and the Tramp: The scene where Edward and Bella were having dinner at the restaurant, except Edward doesnt eat

19. 27 Dresses: Where the two girls were trying clothes for the prom

20. Cinderella/Sound of Music: Where Edward accompanied her to the prom and they danced in the gazebo

21. Superman: Edward's always "Watching out for her", flying around trees etc

22. Tarzan : Why would a vampire fly from tree to tree to impress a girl?

Well, there you go.... 20 over movies depicted in just one show. My overall review is that it is a combination of one of those tragic taiwanese love serials + Dracula + X men. Watch it!..... only if you are a female, a teenager/or unmarried woman who thinks men will do absolutely anything to ensure your lifelong happiness and safety (or that there is THAT SOMEONE still out there), lives in a world of fantasy and delusion or if you miss Superman.

HAhahahahahahahahahahahaha. New Moon.... out now.
