Pringles!

We are staying at a motel which comes with a little dog. And my what the cutest little dog she is! A little white Westie who wags her tail and follows ard anyone who eats apples or any other food. She loves her little treats of duck duck (this duck thingy) and does a crazy interval run after she has does her business in the garden. She hardly barks, unless is to warn us of someone and she has the friendliest little smile.

She understands what we say but of course she cant reply lah.... and happily ignores us when she feels like it. She has her own arm chair for sleeping and loves to sit by the fire in the cold winter nights. She hates to be bathed and will run to hide under the bed when you bring out her bath towel. She hates to be blow dried but she'll patiently wait till you are done with her. She's such a darling. She loves to be hugged and massaged. Her ears will twitch when you call her name and if she's not ignoring you, she'll look at you with the most adoring face a dog could have. She'll lick you to let you know she's near...(so you won't step on her).

Here's a Video of her trying out a new trick. She ends up surrendering.

At Home in New Zealand

Hey everyone! We are in NZ for a while. We stayed in Christchurch for a week before moving down to Oamaru. We had a blast in Christchurch mainly checking out the Asian Food Marts. They have more variety than NTUC, Shop and Save, Cold Storage, Sheng Shiong, Econ Mini Mart Combined! In one shop you can get all the interesting things from all over Asia. From India's Papadum, Marsala Tea, Matter Paneer, to Japan's Sake, Teriyaki, Wasabi and pickled ginger, to China's Vinegars, Smelly Toufu and Flours, to Philippines Banana Sauce etc, to Thailand's Tom Yum, Pad Thai and Curries, to Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia etc etc.... its so cool! I especially like the baby octopuses they have! I even found my favourite Tean's Crispy Chilli Prawn Paste and Singapore's infamous Green Chilli, Pickled Lettuce and even Kanah Cai! And..... some of the prices are cheaper than or comparable to what we are paying in Singapore! Really! We have been ripped off!
Anyway, here are some picts:

We went to this Cantonese Place called Foo San in Christchurch, tucked away quietly in the corner of nowhere. Great Dim Sum at good prices!

Our barang barang arrived safe and sound in Christchurch. It only looks like a lot of things but it really isn't much. Cant believe I left my Indesit oven behind... haha... I wish I brought more of my kitchen toys though.... I miss my nifty gadgets.... and all the wonderful things I had to sell or giveaway..... I really miss my salad spinner and my weighing scale, my rice cooker and breadmachine... my chawanmushi cups, my sukiyaki pot, my teppanyaki hot plate, my 3 in one grill, my ice cream maker, oh... my lovely and super useful lock and lock containers... my baking stuff.... I miss my entire kitchen.... waaa haaahaa... ( but here... I get to buy more stuff... hahahaha)
We bought a fantastic Toyota Corolla, our first car in NZ. Fantastic engine, manual winddown windows, key lock, no air bags but fantastic auto gear change and powerful.... vroom vroom....Though its like more than 10 years old, its better than the Nissan. The car needs Antifreeze!
Orni! We found some Fijian Yams from Countdown( a supermarket) and SS bought some to make Orni.... the yams here are thicker and less mushy so it isnt as smooth.... but its yummy all the same from our secret family recipe.... haha

Joyful Restaurant.... Fantastic place recommended by another Singaporean. They have really good food and we went there for lunch almost everyday. I didnt take all the food cos as soon as it arrived, I din bother to take photos... only this one... but trust me, their Roast Duck Noodles..... Hmmm hmmmm... best in the world!

Fleur's Place. The most renowned place in New Zealand, known for its seafood dishes. We managed to find this place only cos we went with people in the know.... haha... Actually, we missed the tiny sign which said Fleur's Place the first time we passed through. The food is excellent... We loved the Seafood Chowder and fish. Yumms! The desserts were to die for but no one... (except me) had room for dessert.... so.... I'll be back!!

Thats all for now. More on Pringles soon.
